    PAE is currently seeking a Lineman Foreman to support an exciting mission in support of the National Science Foundation’s Antarctic Operations. PAE is a leader in providing worldwide solutions for base operations, logistics, construction, airfield operations, and personnel placement.

    Job Duties:
    •Performs electrical line work, installation and maintenance on maintenance and construction projects in Antarctica.
    •Supervises the activities of the Lineman.
    •Performs overhead electrical line installation and maintenance working with voltages up to 4160 volts.
    •Performs wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, installation of conduit, and other electrical tasks.
    •Advises the Construction Coordinators and/or Electrician Foreman on job progress, and material requirements.
    •Accomplishes various projects utilizing design drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
    •Works outside on various job sites in extreme cold weather conditions.
    •Handles confidential matters (personnel actions, management reports, etc.) in accordance with management policy.
    •Implements and maintains a safe workplace program and ensures that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
    •Performs other duties as required.

    •High school graduate or GED is required.
    •Current high voltage electrical license or other state equivalent is required.
    •Minimum eight years of experience in all phases of electrical line work, including overhead power distribution lines, wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, and installation of conduit is required.
    •Minimum three of the eight years of experience must be in a lead, foreman or supervisory position.
    •Experience working with voltages up to 4160 volts is required.
    •The ability to read design drawings and wiring diagrams is required.
    •Experience in a commercial or industrial environment is preferred.
    •Previous experience with remote Polar Logistics operations is preferred.
    •Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods is required.
    •Must successfully complete the physical and dental examinations as required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica.
    •May be required to successfully complete a psychological examination as required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica.
    •US citizenship is required.

    Must be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum.

    Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
